MAKE THE QUESTION SPECIFIC

What do you want the next campaign to teach you?

For Word Steps, the question is whether a daily-routine headline or a specific exercise attracts more first-exercise completions. Choose your own question before setting the spend.

  1. Define the outcome

Pick an action you can observe: a completed exercise, sign-up or purchase. Prepare a distinct start label or website tracking link for each creative. Decide how long after arrival you will count the action.

  2. Change one thing

When comparing headlines, keep the body, button, destination, audience and intended budget and CPM consistent. For an audience test, keep the creative fixed and change the audience instead.

  3. Run separate campaigns

Name campaigns so you can match them to your records. Log their actual periods and delivery conditions. AdHub does not automatically split traffic or select a winner; separate campaigns are not a randomised A/B test.

A WORKSHEET FOR YOUR TEST

Keep the comparison in one place.

Complete this worksheet with your own campaign data. Empty results stay empty until you have measured them; no sample performance is implied.

If no actions were recorded, cost per action is undefined. More sends alone do not establish a better creative. Consider the number of observed outcomes, timing, repeat exposure and other traffic sources before making a decision.

EXPLORE BEFORE SPENDING

What would your conversion assumption mean?

Expert mode extends the budget calculator with an assumed conversion rate and a calculated acquisition scenario. It is a way to explore the economics of your hypothesis.

AdHub Expert calculator result with successful sends and an acquisition scenario based on an assumed conversion.
The Expert result separates delivery estimates from an acquisition scenario. Demo interface · illustrative settings.

Enter a hypothesis, then vary it

Choose audience, budget and CPM, then enter an assumed conversion from successful sends to new users. Explore how the result changes if that assumption is lower or higher.

Keep estimates separate from results

Estimated new users and acquisition cost come from the assumption you supply. Low, Medium and High are example scenarios, not measured benchmarks. The assumption does not become a campaign target.

Review the next decision

After the test, use measured actions and spend to decide what to change. If the data is inconclusive, record that uncertainty before increasing the budget.

Questions about campaign testing

All questions →
Is there an automatic A/B test?

No. You create and manage separate campaigns. There is no automatic random split, exclusion of overlapping recipients or winner selection in this workflow.

Can the calculator estimate acquisition cost?

Yes. Expert mode calculates an acquisition scenario from your assumed conversion rate, budget and CPM. It is not a forecast based on measured advertiser performance.

Which audience should I test first?

Choose an audience that answers your hypothesis. Broad reach explores the wider eligible network; Recently active lets you choose an activity window. Test audience differences separately from creative changes.

How much should I spend on the test?

Choose the amount you are comfortable spending to answer the question. There is no universal budget or sample size that establishes a winner. Calculator example budgets are not minimum deposit requirements.
